CBM invite CID Humanitarian Network members and development colleagues to a workshop as an introduction to disability-inclusive DRR. A half-day workshop is running in both Auckland and Wellington to assist attendance from NGOs in the north and south.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES:
• Gain awareness of the key instruments for disability inclusion within Disaster Risk Management (Humanitarian Inclusion Standards, Charters)
• Receive practical guidance on how to include persons with disabilities in DRR programming through a case-study from the Philippines, with participation from implementing partner and local organisation of persons with disabilities
• Start to think about budgeting requirements for inclusion within DRR programming.

Facilitator: Mr Talal Waheed - CBM Global Advisor for DRR
Talal lives in Pakistan, providing technical oversight to CBM as Global Advisor for DRR. During his career, Talal has devised and implemented inclusive humanitarian projects with governments, international NGOs, humanitarian clusters and United Nations on Disability inclusion across Africa, Asia, EU and US. Talal has furnished innovative solutions to organisations on inclusive policy, standards, strategy and technical guidance formulation, and informed as a technical subject specialist on protection, health, education, livelihoods, electoral rights and social development. This is an excellent opportunity to hear how disability inclusion can be made a reality.
